His name is Xuxo, he lives in Barcelona, and he radiates something you can’t manufacture: raw, unfiltered animal confidence. The kind of guy who walks into a room and fills it without saying a word. In these photos taken at his place, in his lived-in apartment — stack of books, cat artwork on the wall, pink faux fur throw — he shows himself as he is. And frankly, that’s exactly what makes this series so magnetic.

Because Xuxo isn’t playing at being a model. He’s there, in his living room, sometimes in red Calvin Klein briefs — the kind of detail that kills — sometimes completely naked on his couch, legs spread, gaze planted straight into the lens. No studied poses, no flattering lighting, no tricks. Just a man in his space, with his generous body hair covering his chest like armor, his trimmed beard, his imposing tattoos on his thigh and back. There’s something deeply liberating about this way of showing himself: no apologies, no compromises.

And that’s where the series becomes interesting beyond simple eye candy. Xuxo embodies a type of masculine beauty that’s still too rarely visible in mainstream gay imagery. We’re far from the dry abs and waxed bodies of magazines. Here, it’s the bear body in all its splendor: fleshy, hairy, confident. The kind of physique that drives a good part of the community wild but still struggles to find its place in glossy pages. Is the gay gaze on masculine beauty changing? I’d like to think so, and guys like Xuxo are clearly contributing to it.

A detail that made me smile: the real black cat positioned just below the cat painting. This guy lives his life without worrying about constructing a set for the occasion. We’re at his place, period. And this authenticity, combined with that raw body and intense gaze, creates an erotic tension far more powerful than any polished staging.
