Before diving into this gallery, I have a confession: I was not familiar with the enigmatic Matthew Williams. Surprising, given that he’s reputedly a well-known dancer. However, after seeing these photos, I think he can seamlessly add ‘male model’ to his growing résumé.
Talented photographer Trey McIntyre chose what appears to be a forsaken industrial backdrop in the U.S. for this shoot. The magic happened when he persuaded Matthew to shed his layers and pose in riveting, unique positions, using the surrounding dereliction as a prop.
There’s a mesmerizing allure in the juxtaposition of the soft, organic curves of Matthew’s body against the harsh, unyielding coldness of concrete and metal. I can’t quite put my finger on why this blend is so enticing, but it echoes a sentiment deep within, almost poetic.
