We’ve all fantasised about the neighbour across the way. The one you catch a glimpse of through the curtains, in the morning light, his body barely covered — or not at all. With this series by Ricardo Araújo, that fantasy comes to life before our eyes. And the neighbour in question is Chad Calwell-Soliman.

Chad is the quintessential manly man. Square jaw, intense gaze, a lean and defined body dusted with just the right amount of body hair. The kind of raw beauty that doesn’t try to please but captivates instantly. And these photos show him exactly how you’d love to catch him: naked, lounging, in the privacy of a high-rise flat with the skyline as his backdrop.

The series plays on two complementary moods. First, the window shots — that interplay with sheer curtains, backlighting, silhouettes cut against skyscrapers. It’s pure, elegant, cinematic voyeurism. Chad sits on the ledge, nude, his gaze lost towards the city, as if he doesn’t know he’s being watched. It’s incredibly arousing. Then comes the second part, on the sofa. Everything shifts. Black and white alternates with colour, the framing tightens, the intimacy becomes head-on. Chad gives himself to the lens without shame, lying back, one hand slipped between his thighs, his eyes staring straight at us. We go from voyeur to invited guest.

What we love about this shoot is the tension between the refined and the raw. Ricardo Araújo masterfully commands chiaroscuro and natural light to elevate a male body without ever crossing into vulgarity. There’s a genuine artistic sensitivity, almost painterly, in the way light caresses the contours of Chad’s torso, traces shadows across his abs, and plays with his reflection in the bathroom mirror.

And let’s talk about that mirror shot. It sums up the entire power of this series: a man facing himself, naked, unfiltered, in the most absolute truth. There’s something profoundly homoerotic about this relationship with one’s own reflection — this contemplation of the male body by the male body. It’s a theme dear to gay photography, from Pierre et Gilles to Steven Klein, and Ricardo Araújo approaches it here with remarkable precision.

Chad Calwell-Soliman, let’s not kid ourselves, is an absolute stunner. Go check out his profile @kingofmakati on Instagram, and the photographer Ricardo Araújo‘s too. And tell us: he’s the kind of neighbour you’d love to have, right?

  1. Ricardo, I’m Geo. You have a beautiful cock. I enjoy looking at nude men. I’m bi sexual and having your cock in my mouth or anyone’s mouth would be fun
